We visited Sol Cayo Guillermo between October 22-29 2012, and before that on October 19-26 2010. Had a wonderful time on both occasions. This is a very nicely laid out hotel with all lowrise, one and two-story buildings. The gardens are really beautiful and we really enjoyed our many walks throughout the property. This property of about 268 rooms, is situated about 40 min. from Cayo Coco airport. The Sol property has about 1 km of good beachfront. Altogether there is a 3km stretch of good beach shared by four hotels (Villa Cojimar, Iberostar Daiquiri, Melia Cayo Guillermo and Sol Cayo Guillermo). It's our personal opinion that SCG has the best beach area.
